Famous for those spectacular pink roses in the front yard, we're happy to say they weren't touched during the reconstruction. Thus the name, "The Rose House of Sandwich."

This new home under construction is situated on 1.1 acres of salt-water marsh front land with total privacy. Land on both sides of this location is unbuildable as are most other lots within view. The front yard is the location of the title 5 system and behind the rear old shed is the location of the new 4" artesian well, drilled in January 2008. The chemical analysis was perfect and the pressure is strong.

The first floor boasts a wide-open floor plan with full 9-foot ceilings. The kitchen will be hand made with a granite counter top and a center island. The center island is planned to have a 3" custom butcher-block top. The appliances include a 6 burner Italian stove, a 36" 2 door refrigerator, a designer dishwasher, and a new built in microwave. The upper cabinets include a standard set of 40" glass front cabinets as well as set of 16" top cabinets to stow away large items.

The heat is gas forced hot air with central air. There are 2 zones, and the unit is located in the attic. The hot water system is a Rennai tankless instant hot water gas system for the highest energy efficiency possible.

The living room and dining room both enter onto the rear 36'x8' mahogany deck through new Anderson 400 series atrium doors.

The rest of the windows in the house are matching "cottage style" Anderson 400 series windows as well. The living room will have a large antique style gas glass front stove with mitten warmers as a centerpiece. All floors except the bathrooms are 3" white oak. The stairway will be white oak with boxed antique style newel posts with a custom hand carved Cape Cod design.

The 2 bedrooms are large 14'x24' front to back bedrooms with breathtaking marsh views. There will be full rear custom-made window seats in each bedroom. Both bedrooms are equipped with cat 5 and HD cable as well.

The upstairs bath will have a custom 2-bowl vanity with a granite counter top. The floor and half walls will be tiled with designer tile. The first floor half bath will have a custom vanity with a granite top also.

The house is equipped with the newest technology security system. This 3-camera surveillance system is tied to the Internet so that you can look into your house while you are away, via a blackberry or computer in the event of a problem, or even just to take a look while you are on vacation. Security breaches are recorded as well on a DVD system. Additionally the house doors are wired, the house is equipped with motion detectors, and the system monitors your heating system for problems and will call you if there is a problem. You can drive up to the house after dark and simply hit a button on your key chain and the downstairs lights will turn on.

The upstairs laundry includes a maytag full size stack washer and electric dryer centrally located in the hall closet. Access to the attic is in the hall as well, and the attic is very large with floor plywood installed for storage- over 700 sf!
